What color would we see outside our visual field? We always see and perceive the world with the same eyes and brain of ours, assuming that what we see is the reality of the world. However, it is in fact only images created by our eyes and brain. We humans are not equipped with a mechanism that allows us to perceive the world exactly as is, without temporal lag or spatial distortion. Considering this, I wanted to create a simply structured work that can be easily appreciated by anyone and that also allows us to experience firsthand that what we see is not real. When visitors step inside this work, they are surrounded by the work itself. However, the sensation of being surrounded by a three-dimensional structure comes from images created by their eyes and brain. That is to say, visitors experience images of what does not exist in reality. The intentions and understanding that we have limit our directional sensations and thoughts. Don’t we need to learn to perceive, imagine, and think without intentions so as not to limit the arguably infinite possibilities of the universe but to expand the scope of the real that we have explored and acquired through perception, imagination, and demonstration? Where the real will go from there depends on whether or not we can touch the imperceptible and think without intentions.

Engaged in artistic creation on the themes of "spatial materialization" and "transformation of corporal senses"; active mainly in Europe, North America, Latin America, and Asia; currently constructing a spatial museum for a permanent exhibition of his own works in Tatsuno Town, Nagano Prefecture.
