Piece concept

One day it occurred to me that I can never see myself, especially the head, without using some intermediary means, all my life from birth to death, and I felt that this was somewhat analogous to today’s social media-dominated world. Social media users experience “reality,” “essence,” “origin,” “success/failure,” “truth,” “negation” … as if they were experiencing these matters themselves. This may also be true outside social media, in reality. Once, I saw my face appear on the surface of flowing water, and I was certain that it was mine, even though it was not a clear image. Come to think of it, I could not have been so sure, since I have never seen my face directly. As what it means to look and to see is changing today, I wanted to create a filter with simple everyday materials, and I hope that this work will enable visitors to see and show the inside and the outside of their perspectives and what they feel in their hearts while feeling and enjoying such actions and emotions.
