Online shopping

Piece concept

Online shopping has become an ordinary daily act, spreading greatly during the recent pandemic. Many people’s homes are now filled with cardboard boxes from online shopping websites. Some shop to enrich their lives, while others do so to fill their needs. One ironic consequence of this act is the invasion of our living spaces by cardboard boxes. One of them is expanding day by day, occupying an ever larger space as if to sneer at us. The delivered goods are stuck to the floor. So the empty space inside the growing box also expands limitlessly. The gap between rich and poor and between suppliers and consumers expands more and more, accelerating the loss of balance in the world. This work is presented to allow visitors to experience the phenomenon of a sinking society with their senses. Perhaps inside they can find salvation in a ray of light coming from “heaven” (the top side of the box).
